When Fools Rush In, retitled Fools in Rush in American releases, is the twenty-sixth and final episode of Series 6. It was written by Dave Ingham.

Plot[]

James embarks on a quest to find a special birthday present for his mother, Bronwyn . Unsatisfied with his simple, handmade birthday card, James sets his sights on a more spectacular gift. He decides to use Station Officer Steele's metal detector to search for valuable ancient coins hidden beneath the cliffs . Despite receiving a stern warning from Station Officer Steele about the dangers of digging too close to the edge, James's enthusiasm gets the better of him . Ignoring the safety precautions, he begins his frantic search for treasure. His relentless digging, however, causes a dangerous rockfall, trapping him beneath the debris and putting him in immediate peril.

The Pontypandy fire and rescue team springs into action, with Fireman Sam leading the rescue mission. Utilizing all their tools and skills, the team works to save James. They rely on Radar, the trusty sniffer dog, to help them locate the trapped boy. The team successfully unearths James from the pile of rocks, ensuring his safety and bringing the dramatic ordeal to a close

  • Elvis is not wearing his helmet when he leaves the fire station, but when he is seen at the top of the cliffs, his helmet appears on his head out of nowhere.
  • Station Officer Steele moves places after the close-up of Sam and Elvis in Jupiter at the start of the episode.
