Up, Up and Away is the ninth episode of the ninth series.
Plot[]
Mandy Flood is inspired to fly over Pontypandy Mountain while flying kites with the other children. Hannah's dad, Joe Sparkes, brings out his hot air balloon, named "Cloud Scraper", to give Mandy a ride. Before Mandy gets the chance to board, the hungry sheep Lambykins stows away in the basket and chews through the tethering ropes. The hot air balloon then floats off with Lambykins inside, heading towards Pontypandy Mountain.
Fireman Sam and his team receive unusual emergency calls about a large, hungry creature causing a series of chewing incidents, including chewing through power cables. They soon realize the incidents are connected to the runaway Lambykins in the balloon.
