Towering Inferno is the twenty-fourth episode of Series 6. It was written by Dave Ingham.

Plot[]

Norman Price getting into trouble during a game of hide-and-seek. Norman decides to hide in the fire station's training tower, unaware that the fire crew has a practice drill planned for that same afternoon. This sets the stage for a misunderstanding that leads to a real emergency.

The fire crew begins their scheduled exercise, which involves starting a controlled fire on the ground floor of the training tower. When the drill is underway, the crew discovers that Norman is in the tower and is in actual danger. What started as a simple practice session quickly turns into a genuine rescue mission for the team. Led by Fireman Sam, the crew successfully rescues Norman from his precarious situation at the top of the tower. Following the rescue, Station Officer Steele takes the opportunity to teach Norman an important lesson about safety. He emphasizes that winning a game is never worth taking risks that could put himself and others in harm's way, reinforcing the show's focus on fire safety for children.
