Trivia[]

  • The New Adventures of Fireman Sam was originally released by BBC Video in 1994 where the packaging contained a dark blue cover with the 1992-1994 Childrens' BBC Video logo on the top of the spine and the original catalogue number (BBCV 5404) on the bottom of the spine with the copyright stamp saying © BBC Enterprises Limited 1994 on the back of the cover, the video tape label and the end of the video with the video tape master containing the 1991-1997 BBC Video Ident and a BBC Video slide advertising four other Fireman Sam video releases at the start.
  • Three years later in 1997, BBC Video re-released The New Adventures of Fireman Sam where the entire cover remained completely the same as the original 1994 release except for three small differences where the catalogue number, back of the cover and video tape label are updated to contain the updated catalogue number (BBCV 6348) and copyright stamp of © BBC Worldwide Limited 1997. Despite this, the 1997 re-release remains completely unchanged from the original 1994 release, because it keeps the original 1994 video tape master and copyright stamp as BBC Video were still using the 1991-1997 ident at the time.
  • This is the final Fireman Sam video release to contain the 1991-1995 version of the 1991-1997 BBC Video copyright warning.
  • The content of Deep Trouble for Sam, used on The New Adventures of Fireman Sam (BBCV 5404), would also be used again on the 2000 BBC Video release of Fireman Sam's Bumper Video: Telly Trouble (BBCV 6917).
  • and
  • The content of Quarry Rescue and Home from Rome, used on The New Adventures of Fireman Sam (BBCV 5404), would also be used again on the 1999 BBC Video release of Fireman Sam's Big Video! (BBCV 6771).
