Stranded is the tenth episode of the seventh season. It was written by Dave Ingham.
Plot[]
Stranded" centers on the rescue of a baby whale discovered beached on the shore by Mandy Flood. The story begins with Mandy and Norman Price heading to the beach for a fishing trip. Norman races ahead, but Mandy happens upon the struggling whale. When she tries to alert Norman to her discovery, he is initially dismissive and doesn't believe her. Mandy then finds Charlie, and together they contact the Pontypandy fire brigade for assistance.
Fireman Sam, Penny Morris, and Tom Thomas quickly arrive at the beach. They assess the situation and realize the whale is too heavy to safely roll back into the sea by hand without the risk of injury, and that the high tide is a considerable time away. The team quickly formulates a plan to use the inflatable rescue boat, Neptune, along with specialized equipment, to carefully transport the whale back into the water.
