Sticky Situation is the eighteenth episode of the sixth series.
Plot[]
The central conflict arises from Norman Price's impatience and recklessness. For his birthday, Mandy gifts him a model airplane kit. Eager to build it, Norman disregards the included instructions and opts for a very strong adhesive to speed up the assembly process.
Norman's shortcut backfires when he manages to glue his hand to his bedroom doorknob, trapping himself. The situation escalates dramatically when a magnifying glass in the room focuses the sunlight onto his bed, starting a small fire. In a desperate bid for attention, Norman throws a book, which inadvertently causes the burning model plane to land on Mike Flood's van outside the house, spreading the fire to the vehicle.
The fire is noticed by the townspeople, and the Pontypandy Fire Service is promptly called. Fireman Sam and his team arrive at the scene to tackle the blaze on the van and successfully rescue a trapped and sticky Norman from his bedroom predicament, teaching him a valuable lesson about following instructions.
