Norman's Halloween Heist is the twenty-fifth episode of Series 8. It was written by Simon Nicholson.
Plot[]
In the episode, Norman Price hatches a greedy scheme to get all of the candy in the town of Pontypandy for himself on Halloween night. With the help of his friend Derek, he uses a go-kart and multiple disguises to go trick-or-treating at every house. This plan sets the stage for his predictable downfall, as his selfishness leads him to take a disastrous risk.
Norman's plan is driven by his desire for more candy than anyone else. After successfully collecting a huge amount of sweets, he learns that the local shop has a fresh delivery of three more boxes. Determined to get to the shop before anyone else, he becomes reckless while driving his go-kart. In his haste, Norman loses control of the vehicle and crashes it into the sea, a mishap that has happened to him before.
The climax of the episode involves Fireman Sam coming to Norman's rescue, saving him from the water. While Norman is safe, his greed has cost him everything, as all the candy he hoarded is now lost to the sea. As a final, humbling gesture, a friend named Lily offers him a single, meager candy to make up for his loss, leaving Norman with just one treat after all his scheming.
