No Nurse Like You is the fourteenth episode of the sixth series. It was written by Jan Page and Mellie Buse.
Plot
Mike Flood's pride gets the better of him as he insists on arranging a surprise wedding anniversary party for his wife, Helen, by himself. Despite multiple offers of help, Mike's refusal leads to a series of chaotic events. As a storm and power cut disrupt the initial plans for a garden barbecue, Mike attempts to move the party indoors. However, in the dark, he accidentally leaves napkins on the electric stove. When the power returns unexpectedly, the napkins ignite, triggering a kitchen fire and an emergency call to the fire station. While attending to the blaze, Station Officer Steele gets a minor injury, ironically requiring Helen—the person Mike was trying to help—to assist him. The entire ordeal teaches Mike a lesson in humility, as he learns that accepting help from friends is a better way to show appreciation than stubbornly doing everything alone.
