Mam's Day, retitled Mom's Day in American releases, is the twenty-first episode of Series 6. It was written by Andrew Brenner.
Plot[]
Norman Price initially shows little enthusiasm for Mother's Day, rushing to create a shoddy, unsafe candle holder for his mother, Dilys, so he can go skateboarding. He gives her the subpar gift before she and Trevor Evans head to the Whole Fish Café for a celebratory dinner. However, Norman's laziness has serious consequences when James accidentally knocks over the poorly made candle holder during the meal, starting a fire. The Pontypandy Fire Brigade, led by Fireman Sam, quickly responds to the emergency at the café and puts out the blaze. The incident frightens Norman, but it ultimately teaches him an important lesson about the dangers of cutting corners and helps him realize how much he truly cares about his mother.
