Lily Lost and Found is the nineteenth episode of the 8th season. It was written by Lizzie Ennever.
Plot[]
The Pontypandy residents are enjoying a picnic on the beach. As the children play, Lily, the toddler daughter of Mrs. Chen, becomes fascinated with Norman and his sandcastle. Norman, however, is annoyed by the distraction and tries to get rid of Lily by offering her a sausage and sending her away.
When the tide begins to come in, everyone notices that Lily is missing. The Pontypandy fire crew is alerted, and Elvis, who was at the station, brings the fire dog Radar to the beach. While the adults search, it is Radar who uses his keen sense of smell to locate the crying Lily, who has become stranded on a small sandbank that is quickly being swallowed by the rising tide. Fireman Sam then performs a rope rescue to safely retrieve Lily and return her to her relieved mother. In the end, Norman feels remorseful and learns a lesson about responsibility.
