Joker Soaker is the eleventh episode of the fifth series in English and the tenth episode of the fourth series in Welsh.

Plot[]

It's a very hot day in Pontypandy, resulting in a water shortage and a very thirsty Dusty. Meanwhile, a package arrives for Norman from his Uncle Dylan; a Joker Soaker water pistol. He quietly sneaks outside away from Dilys to test it, he takes Dusty's water from a pail and attacks Tom Thomas with it, who is in his jeep reading the paper. Unsurprisingly, Tom is not at all amused, and neither is Fireman Sam who's just arrived. Sam angrily scolds Norman for what he's doing, but Norman threatens him with the water pistol and escapes.

Dusty, still searching for something to drink, has just been kicked out of Bella's Café because he stole Trevor's milkshake.

Norman pranks everyone with his new Joker Soaker, including Station Officer Steele involving a coin. He then breaks this to the team, attempting to foil Norman's water wasting behavior.

Meanwhile, Dusty, who's still thirsty, overhears a conversation between Helen Flood and Trevor near the park fence. He then notices that Helen has bought bottled water from Dilys. Dusty tries to grab it by sticking his head through the iron railings, but unfortunately gets himself trapped.

Sarah and James are Norman's next targets, but unlike the others, the two kids furiously give chase. Norman, who's run out of water, tries to get some more from the fire station, but Sam blocks him. Both Sarah and James and their Uncle Sam try to snatch Norman, leading to a mini fight. But Norman flees again, leaving all three of them shocked and angry.

Norman runs to the cafe, explaining to Bella that he needs some water, from which he takes from Pavarotti, Bella's goldfish, causing her to freak out. Back at the park fence, Norman attempts to attack a still-stuck Dusty, but he learns what is wrong with the dog and gives him a drink instead. When Sarah and James catch up with Norman, they at first attempts to take the water pistol from him. But when Norman explains that he in fact needs it to cool Dusty down, they realise that their furry friend is in trouble and call the fire service for help.

After the fire service gets Dusty free, Sam gives the thirsty dog a bucket of water. Norman tries to sneak off, only to be caught once again by Sam, who asks Norman if he could have a look at the Joker Soaker. Norman agrees, but Sam ends up attacking him with it playfully, resulting in everybody laughing at Norman, seeing as karma has bounced back on him badly.
