John Sparkes (born 6 January 1954) is a Welsh comedian and actor. He once served a voice actor for the fifth series of Fireman Sam and its live event Fireman Sam On Stage, voicing Sam, most of the male characters, and Dilys Price, as well as providing vocal effects for Dusty and Rosa.
Outside his work on Fireman Sam, he is perhaps well known for his work in Astley-Baker Davies and Aardman, serving as the narrator and voice of multiple characters in "Peppa Pig", the voice of Mr. Elf, King Marigold, and other characters in "Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom", as well as the voices of The Farmer and Bitzer in "Shaun the Sheep" and providing a voice for the Oliver family house pet, Bonker in "Cooking Buddies". He is best known for the title character in his comedy series "Barry Welsh is Coming" from ITV Cymru Wales.
