John Scot Barrowman MBE (born in Glasgow, Scotland, UK, March 11th, 1967) is a Scottish-American actor, singer, presenter and writer. Despite maintaining his native Glaswegian accent, he is better known for talking to the public as an American. He is known for his acting and singing work on stage, for presenting various television shows and for playing Captain Jack Harkness in "Doctor Who" and "Torchwood". He was a contestant in the 18th series of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here in which he finished in 3rd place. He played Flex Dexter in Fireman Sam: Set For Action!
