Hearts on Fire is the third episode of the sixth series. It was written by Andrew Brenner.
Plot[]
The Plot centers around a camping trip on Pontypandy Mountain that takes a turn for the worse due to a misunderstanding and an accident. The main characters involved are Dilys Price, her son Norman, and Trevor Evans. The initial setting is peaceful until Norman begins telling scary stories, making his mother feel nervous and jumpy in the wilderness.
The central conflict arises when Dilys misinterprets the natural phenomenon of a bright orange sunset seen through the trees, mistaking it for a genuine fire due to her heightened anxiety from the stories. As Trevor rushes them to evacuate, Dilys accidentally knocks a burning log from their own campfire while in a panic. This action inadvertently ignites a real forest fire, creating the emergency that the Pontypandy Fire Service must address.
