Fun Run is the 16th (2nd in Welsh) episode of the the fifth series of Fireman Sam.
Plot[]
One day in Pontypandy, a fun run has been organized for charity. Unfortunately, Norman's cheating ways has put James (who has twisted his ankle) and the other competitors in danger.

- The Series 7 episode Three Legged Race is possibly based on this episode.
- Stock footage from Danger Falling Sheep and Twist of Fate is used.
- This episode features an unique shot of Sam and Elvis getting in Jupiter, instead of using the clip where Sam and Elvis get in Jupiter and then Penny joins them as was used in Bug Eyed Boy from Venus.
- The scene appears to have different lighting and been shot against a different background/set.
- This is the second time only Sam and Elvis ride in Jupiter to a call in Series 5, the first was Bug Eyed Boy from Venus.
- This is the only episode to feature the shot of the turntable turning Jupiter around from the front in its entirety, only cutting to the next scene when Jupiter is almost in the correct position.
- This is the only time in Series 5 Sam is seen wearing a headset.
- This episode last aired on 28 December 2007 at 13:20 PM on CBeebies, making it the last ever episode of Fireman Sam to air on that channel.
Goofs[]
- The sound of the station turntable stopping in the "ready" position comes too late after Jupiter is clearly oriented in the right position.
- Sam clearly has no headset on when they leave the station, yet one appears out of nowhere later, though he might have put it on while in Jupiter.
- On the BBC iPlayer, this episode uses an image from Deep Water instead of an image from this episode.[2]
