Plot[]
Floodlights," the annual Pontypandy Christmas lights competition ignites a fierce rivalry between Dilys Price and Bronwyn Jones. As the two continually ask Mike Flood to add more and more lights to their respective shops, the electrician becomes stressed and forgets to install the correct fuses for the massive electrical load. The rivalry comes to a climax when the two displays are switched on, causing both the Wholefish Café and the Cut Price Store to catch fire simultaneously. With two electrical emergencies at once, Fireman Sam and his crew are called in to manage the blazes and prevent disaster.

- When Norman Price enters Dilys' shop, he has his scarf on; but when the fire starts, his scarf is gone.
- When Bronwyn, Sarah and James evacuate the cafe because of the fire, James is voiced by Steven Kynman, even though at this point he was voiced by John Hasler.
