- In less than seven seconds flat.
- He's always on the scene, Fireman Sam.
- And his engine's bright and clean, Fireman Sam.
- You cannot ignore,
- Sam is the hero next door.
- Driving down the busy streets,
- Greeting people that he meets.
- Someone could be in a jam

Trivia[]
- The CGI series version is shortened to 30 seconds, except at the beginnings of hour long specials where the full version of the new theme song, as heard in Series 5, is used.
- The theme song got dubbed in most languages, but some dubs had the theme song in English. The Korean dub of the Series 5, the intro is shortened to 30 seconds and starts halfway through the intro.
- In the Italian and Hebrew dubs, the 1987 theme is played over the 2003 introduction and credits sequence.
- The Polish version of the 1987 theme is played in a completely different arrangement, with the singer out of sync with the music.
- The Croatian version of the 1987 theme (early version) features a female singer singing about the show's backstory on both the opening and the credits.
- The later version would be the same as the normal version, with different lyrics and different singers.
- The Slovak version of the 1987 theme uses a synth piano cover of the original instrumental, but in later versions it uses the original theme.
- The British music duo Pound Shop Boys did a cover of the Fireman Sam theme in 2017 which combines the lyrics of the original Series 1-4 theme and the Series 5/movie theme.
- In the Series 5 intro Norman is shown as having got his head stuck in the park's fence, similar to how he got stuck in Norman's Tricky Day, however this was not actually seen in any episode. It is possible that this idea was either later retooled for Dusty in Joker Soaker (or maybe even a deleted scene for the episode) or was intended as a reference to the original series.
- The Series 12 version is sped up to 1.05 speed.
- From Series 13 onwards, there are no lyrics during the closing credits.
- From Series 14 onwards, the intro consists of renaming the song as the rescue team, scenes of Krystyna are shown, as well as the new introduction of the fire brigade's uniform. And at the end of the intro, Ben, Arnold and Tom are replaced by Krystyna, Malcom and Sgt Ravani with Kilo and Shadow.
- From Series 14 there are no sound effects or intro exclusive scenes during the theme, but short clips from the previous and current season.
- In the Series 5 intro, a cereal box can be seen which closely resembles Kellogg's Corn Flakes.
- From Heroes of the Storm onwards, the theme received a brand new guitar arrangement plus other instruments in a modernisation attempt.
- The beginning of the song is sampled from an Apollo Fire alarm.
Goofs[]
- In the Original intro (Series 1 - 4) Sam drives off from his house in Jupiter, but he leaves the front door open due to slipping on Norman's Skateboard.
- In the Series 5 intro as Sam is driving Jupiter down the main street of Pontypandy during the line "...Fireman Sam! 'Cause he's gonna save the day!...", if one looks closely it can be seen that Jupiter's lights do not flash at the correct rate near the end of the shot.
- In the first CGI intro (Series 6 - 7) when Sam, Elvis, and Radar left with Jupiter, two goofs accrue;
- During the shot where Wallaby 1 and Jupiter are both moving at the same time in the series 6-9 intro, one of Jupiter's lockers is wide open.
