Trivia[]
- This is the last VHS to use the 1981 BBC Video logo.
- Barn Fire only appears in the UK version and Norman's Tricky Day only appears in the Australian version.
- There are two versions of Fireman Sam 2: Lost Cat and both versions contain a different BBC Video Ident.
- Version 1 is the original 1988 release, which contains the 1981-1988 BBC Video Ident along with a BBC Video trailer advertising Fireman Sam: The Hero Next Door, a red title card logo for Fireman Sam 2: Lost Cat and red title card logos for Telly Trouble, Camping and Barnfire appearing on a black background before the opening titles at the start of all three episodes. This Fireman Sam video release would contain it on the original 1988 release and all subsequent re-releases until it was re-released with the 1991-1997 BBC Video Ident in 1993, although it was re-released with a repackaged cover in 1992. However, the 1992 re-release remains completely unchanged from the original 1988 release, because it keeps the original 1988 video tape master and the 1981-1988 BBC Video Ident.
- Version 2 is the 1993 re-release, which contains the 1991-1997 BBC Video Ident. From 1993 onwards, all subsequent re-releases of this Fireman Sam video release would contain the 1991-1997 BBC Video Ident, a BBC Video slide advertising The Hero Next Door and the five other Fireman Sam video releases, a new title card for Fireman Sam 2: Lost Cat and new content with yellow title card logos appearing at the start of all four episodes. But the updated 1993 video tape master keeps the original 1988 copyright stamp, because of it being a re-release.
- The content of Lost Cat, used on the 1993 re-release of Fireman Sam 2: Lost Cat (BBCV 4137), would also be used again on the 2000 BBC Video release of BBC Toybox: Animal Adventures (BBCV 6941).
