Wallaby 2

Wallaby 2 is Pontypandy's Search And Rescue helicopter piloted by Tom Thomas. It was introduced in the feature length special Alien Alert.

Description

It has a large bucket for forest fires, six rear seats, two cockpit seats, a heat seeking camera, a double harness built into the rear door and a stretcher underneath the rear seats.

Trivia

• Wallaby 2 is based on a Westland WS-61 Sea King, a British licence-built version of the American Sikorsky S-61 helicopter of the same name, built by Westland Helicopters. The yellow livery points it as an RAF Search and Rescue Force helicopter.
• Starting in Series 13, Wallaby 2’s landing gear retracts upon takeoff.
