Dinosaur Hunt is the sixteenth episode of the sixth series. It was written by Andrew Brenner.
Plot[]
The plot of the Fireman Sam episode "Dinosaur Hunt" centers on Norman Price's attempt to convince his friends James and Sarah that a real, live dinosaur can be found in a cave on the beach near Pontypandy. To make his story more believable, Norman uses a piece of driftwood to create a trail of fake, oversized footprints leading towards the cave.
Norman manages to lure James and his cousin Mandy to the beach cave, where he continues his prank by making loud roaring noises from inside. However, their adventure takes a dangerous turn when they become trapped; the incoming tide cuts off their exit, leaving Norman and James stuck within the cave, while Mandy finds herself isolated on a nearby rock formation.
Mandy quickly realizes the seriousness of their situation and manages to alert the emergency services. Fireman Sam and Penny Morris respond to the call, launching the rescue boat Neptune. They successfully navigate the rising waters to reach the stranded children and bring them safely back to shore. The episode concludes with a vital safety reminder about the necessity of checking local tide times and weather conditions before exploring coastal areas.
