David Scott "Dave" McRae (born on May 24, 1979 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada) is a Canadian Voice Actor, Voiceover Artist and Filmmaker in the US (English) version of the CGI series Fireman Sam on Amazon prime. He took over the roles of Gareth Griffiths and Fire Department Chief Boyce, Starting from Series 10 after Joe Marth's Death on June 3, 2015. He also voiced The Showdown Announcer, Carnival Contestant #8, The Egg Contest Judge, The Fishing Judge, The Fantabulous Fenn, Bud Bushwhack, Mo, Rey, Buzz, Mr. Mole, Mexican Musician #1, Mr. Bull, One of the Art Contestants, One of the Pancake Contest Contestants, The Water Parade Spectator, One of the Surfers, One of the Contestants, Guard #1 and others in Doki.
His voice has been heard in thousands of radio, television and online commercials, network promos, movie and game trailers, corporate presentation and training videos, IVR's, narration, and animation across North America and around the world.
As an independent filmmaker, Dave thrives on mood and atmosphere to help tell a compelling story. Over the years he has written, produced, shot, edited, sound designed, directed, and acted in many short films, most of which are his own. He enjoys the film-making creative process and often collaborates with fellow industry professionals in a variety of roles in the motion picture industry.
