CITV (short for Children's ITV, also known as the CITV Channel) was a British free-to-air children's television channel owned by ITV plc. It broadcasted content from the CITV archive and acquisitions, every day from 6 am to 9 pm which was previously 6 am to 6 pm until 21 February 2016. It is also the title of a programming block on the ITV network at weekends. The channel temporarily did broadcastings of the sixth and seventh series of Fireman Sam from 2009 to 2012 during Mini CiTV.
On 1st September, 2023, the CITV channel closed down at 9PM. Now all CITV programming is only accessible via ITVX and, for those without internet access, on ITV2 between 5 and 9AM.
