Trivia[]
- Going by production order, this is the 4th episode of series 8
- This is the first time Sarah appears without James.
- This is also the second episode in which one of the twins appears without the other one; the first was Model Plane.
- The title of the episode is a pun on the phrase 'boys will be boys'.
- This episode marks the only time Chief Fire Officer Boyce drives Jupiter.
- This episode also marks the only time Helen's ambulance uses a siren of it's own, instead of using Venus' siren for an emergency. This also marks the most recent time the ambulance's siren is used in an emergency in the show.
Goofs[]
- When Fireman Sam (on Mercury) sees Norman, they are satuated on a hillside with some rocks and what appears to be the sea nearby. However, in the closeup of Sam, the landscape changes to many hillsides and a large rocky mountain. The next scene afterwards showcases the prior scene from before, but the cloud layout has changed, the rocks have vanished and the rocky hillside is now a standard hillside, while the mountain from before is on the very left.
- In the last scene of the episode, the sign next to Dilys' Shop vanishes.
- In real life, it would be impossible to hold the jaws of life in one hand as rescue cutting gear weighs around 20 kilograms.
