  • This is the only episode of the classic series in which Sarah and James are absent.
  • The episode title is a reference to the 11th episode of Degrassi High of the same name, nine months after the release of the episode.
    • Coincidentally, they were both released in 1990.
  • A piece of the bed push bed would later appear in the Joshua Jones episode "Plum Crazy", while the black briefcase would appear in various episodes of Joshua Jones.
  • The hurricane lantern (outdoor paraffin lamp) Bella throws out is based off of a Chalwyn 'Far East'. It was previously seen in Camping.
  • When this episode first aired in English on BBC One London on 26 November 1990, it aired at 15:50 and was introduced by presenter Andi Peters.[1]
  • The scene of the firefighters cresting 'Pandy hill' and of them later going down a different hill use the same street set with the same road and houses, but a different camera angle, props and background are seen.
