All at Sea is the first episode of the ninth series and was written by Laura Beaumont and Paul Larson.
Plot[]
It's the day of Pontypandy's new Ocean Rescue Centre launch and Station Officer Steele is taking the firefighters on a tour of the centre. As they arrive on the quay, so does the new coastguard, Ben Hooper who introduces himself to the team, meanwhile Mike Flood helps the Jones' in preparing for the opening. Later the Ocean Rescue Centre gets it's first emergency when a fireworks accident occurs out on the ocean.

Trivia[]
- This episode marks the first appearance of Ben Hooper, as well as the Sparkes family (Joe Sparkes, Lizzie Sparkes (does not appear until episode 10 The Pontypandy Cup) and Hannah Sparkes), who have a non-speaking cameo.
- Alex Lowe, who voices Ben Hooper as well as Joe Sparkes, is credited among the voice cast for the first time.
- The old boathouse for Neptune is now replaced by a full-fledged Ocean Rescue Centre for Ben to work from.
- New vehicles Titan and Juno are introduced.
- This episode is the first to introduce the updated outfits used by the firefighters for ocean-based rescues.
- This is the first episode to have a different alarm. Instead of the red alarm bells, the alarm for the Ocean Rescue Centre is a white siren with flashing blue lights. This same alarm is later seen in the New Fire Station throughout the rest of the series.
- This is the first episode where all of 7 kids appear.
