I love this! The TRUE look of Fireman Sam. Just how Rob Lee created him
Maybe the regular version of Trevor's theme (I remember she did a cover of the rare version heard in "Safe with Sam".) Perhaps a cover of the theme song too?
I agree, mate. I'd like more stories focused on the other characters besidesjust Norman. .Steele should still attend all emergencies if he's working. Trevor tstill be an Auxiliary Fireman and maybe Penny could take the Pontypandy Crew (including Trev) to Newtown Fire Station sometimes like she did in some Buzz Books. Oh and some episodes focused on Helen, Tom and Mike. Elvis can still be a little silly but not too dumb. He still needs to be a competent and skilled firefighter like he was in the Original
I used to have a VHS called 'Postman Pat and the Hole in the Road' that featured this advert inside. I was always intrigued by the Fireman Sam in Action video being advertised and what a live action Fireman Sam would be like.
Later, when I was around 4 or 5, I did see Fireman Sam in Action just once for sale in Toys R Us, I begged my parents to buy it me, but they didn't look impressed by it and felt it wouldn't be as good as the actual Bumper Films show so I didn't actually see the VHS until it was uploaded on Youtube around 2010 time.
In hindsight, I do like some parts of Fireman Sam in Action, but I don't think it's as good as the actual original TV Show
Very interesting mate. Joshua Jones is in the add too! I didn't know S4C aired English language animation back then. I was getting all prepared and excited to watch a Welsh dub of The Herbs
Sadly, I did not get this, but I'll keep a look out for cassettes I haven't got and if I get any new ones, I'll share them with fans on YT
Damn. I was hoping that cassette would be buy it now. I'll keep an eye on it, but won't bid too high
I had this cassette as some point. All the songs are covers sung by a children's choir. So they have kids singing all the songs, not the official versions. In the Fireman Sam song they sang "In less than twenty seconds flat" instead of seven. That same error was repeated when children sang the Fireman Sam song in "A day full of Fun" from 1994
Yes, it is. I've heard that sound effect on a lot of old shows from the 70s like the BBC Sitcom's 'Porridge' and 'Fawlty Towers' for example. It was quite a popular sound effect back then
The illustration of Elvis is from the Buzz Book, "The Great Water Trail"
I'd buy these but would have no idea what to do with them, but I love the Sam, Joshua Jones, Postman Pat, Noddy and Charlie Chalk ones.
But there were examples of Vintage Sam with a lighter blue tunic. The earlier bubble bath from 1990 and the toothbrush holder from 1995.
I had the Sam with the hose as a child and I have the bandai figure now, but yes they do have the darker tunic. So does the 1993 bubble bath figure.
I honestly prefer seeing the dark tunic as it's more faithful to the OG series puppets and it resembles the real 1970s/80s Fire Service uniform more accurately.
Here's mine. Pat's visiting Pontypandy lol
I'd like to get the Sam again too but I'd only buy it in the packaging. I know I'm difficult lol
Yes, that was the Sam figure you could get. You could only buy Sam or Penny in that range. I had the Sam as a child and nowadays I have Penny
Can't find the Jupiter now but the squeaky Pat Van and a squeaky Noddy car can be seen here
Yes, it's a squeaky toy from the late 80s of Jupiter. I've seen an image of it befire somewhere. They did one of Pat's van too
